What are externally focused projects?

Hope Lives through externally focused projects. Externally focused projects are opportunities to focus on others. It is a chance to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Through service in our community, FCC can offer the hope of Christ to a hurting world, because Hope Lives at FCC.

Potential project sites may include, but are not limited to: Appalachian Service Project, Coalition for Kids, Second Harvest Food Bank, Appalachian Christian Camp, Appalachian Christian Village, local schools, and local police, fire, and EMS departments.

Individuals and families will be assigned to a project site based on their preferences. A project leader will contact you approximately 2 weeks prior to your service date to confirm your location and a specific time.

We need project leaders!

Project leaders will be the “go-to” person at the project site. Responsibilities include communicating with the site 2-3 weeks prior to service date to confirm project details, following up with volunteer team to communicate project details and confirm participation, and communicating results of project to church staff following project completion.
