The Elders at First Christian Church provide guidance and leadership to the staff and congregation. The Elders help to shape the vision and direction of the church as well as provide spiritual leadership.

DEACON MINISTRY OVERVIEW
The Deacon ministry supports the mission of First Christian Church. They are actively involved in the following service ministries: Home Communion; Sunday Morning Communion; Parking Ministry Shuttle Ministry.
The Deacons also serve in many other leadership roles in ministry areas at the church.
Deacons Duties:
1.Serve home communion to shut-ins. - Pray with them for their needs. - Help keep the office informed of their status.
2.Serve communion during a worship service. - Serve communion and collect offering during a worship service.
3.Serve in one of the following two areas: - Assist parking cars between the worship services. - Direct cars to empty parking spaces. - Be friendly and greet people in the parking lots. - Drive shuttle between parking lots for the worship services. (One van goes between parking lots and Appalachian Christian Village Towers. One van transports students to/from Milligan College.)
4.Server and/or lead in a ministry area.
